Richmond Hero was contacted in November regarding another Trailer Park that closed near Chester. We were told that there were many kittens and lovable adult cats that had been left behind to fend for themselves when residents moved out.
Richmond Hero has been working very hard to rescue these innocent victims and place them in new homes with people who will love them and care for them forever.
There are still 5 or 6 that we have had to leave there for the time being as there is simply no place to take them to. This is very heartbreaking for us. The Trailer Park can be seen from Jeff Davis Highway and it is a sad sight, especially knowing that these precious animals are still in there.

All of the rescuers are beyond capacity for fostering, therefore we are asking for your help.  If you are thinking of adopting a kitten or a lovable adult cat any time in the near future, please consider one of these that has been left behind with nothing.
If you are not able to adopt but would be willing to provide a temporary home, we can use your help there also.

We are always so appreciative to receive donated cat food, pet bedding, toys, or anything else that is pet related. Most of these homeless pets have never even had a little toy mouse or a ball to play with.

PETCO in Chester has been a blessing for us. They provide an adoption location and are able to keep 8 at a time. We are so thankful to them for caring so much.

If you have pet food or other items that you would like to donate, if you would like to help in any way, or if you have any questions please call Sheila at 901-9011 or Valerie at 402-9409.
